The only mods I've made are to reduce the sugar as it's a tad too sweet for my tastes as is, and to add a tablespoon of espresso for a darker, richer flavour. No matter the season, no matter the occasion, Southern Chocolate Chess Pie is always well received! Store any leftovers, wrapped in plastic wrap, in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. The pie will keep on the counter at room temperature for 1-2 days, but its best if stored in the refrigerator. Bake 45-50 minutes until pie is set and doesn't jiggle. My entire family loved it!
